Gear Up Aviation® is a specialist aviation consultancy focused on the design, approval, and optimisation of training organisations.
Founded by an airline Captain and aviation training specialist, the business brings together extensive operational experience with deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, training systems, and course design. This combination allows us to support organisations not only in achieving approval, but in building training operations that are robust, scalable, and commercially viable.
We work closely with Approved Training Organisations (ATOs), flight schools, and aviation businesses to develop regulator-ready training environments — from initial concept through to operational delivery. Our approach is practical, detail-driven, and aligned with real-world airline standards.
Our work spans ATO approvals, manual development, training system design, content creation, instructor frameworks, and strategic advisory. In addition, we can provide experienced Nominated Persons, Flight Instructors (FI) and Theoretical Knowledge Instructors (TKI) to support high-quality training delivery.
Alongside our consultancy work, we develop aviation training resources and operate Sky High Journal®, a children’s aviation brand focused on inspiring the next generation.
